Storyboarding is a place to plan out the video in two dimensions

The first dimension is time: what happens first, next, and last. Do you have a story to tell ? could be the history of your business, where it started, where it is now and what is it going to do in the future...

The second is of interaction: how does the voiceover (your story) interact with the images, how do visual transitions and effects help tie together the images, how does the voiceover interact with the musical soundtrack? Any element can interact with any other one, and the storyboard is the place to plan out the impact you intend to make on the audience.

Who will do your voiceover ? Who will be your actors ? What locations will it be filmed on or at?

When a storyboard is efficiently mapped out, the video will be produced on time, in budget and more importantly without missing any message or detail that is required. Storyboarding will also dramatically reduce the filming time and disruption.
